Parent Volunteer Policy and Packet
To ensure quality education, the Sonora Elementary School District has established a Volunteer Policy, outlining guidelines for adults who wish to work with our students. Interested volunteers must carefully review the policy and complete the application process. Prior to volunteering, attendance at an orientation meeting is mandatory, and the completed application must be submitted for review. You will only need to attend orientation once, as long as your children attend Sonora Elementary School. Orientation meetings will be scheduled at the start of the school year and as needed for new volunteers.
Additionally, all applicants must undergo a background check, including fingerprint screening through TCSOS. This service will be provided free of charge to the applicant.
